Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director (On Call) - French Services

Job Summary:

Radio Canada International is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director (On Call) - French Services to join our team. As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in the preparation, production, and post-production of videos for television or other media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Preparation: Prepare required materials and assist in script presentation to ensure high-quality content is delivered to our audience.
  • Research and Coordination: Gather information required to produce the show and ensure necessary revisions are made to lineups, while coordinating activities with other team members.
  • Communication and Coordination: Inform all affected personnel of any changes and compile and proofread information for credit lists and keys, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the production process.
  • Resource Management: Request facilities and technical, design, and post-production resources, and ensure coordination of these bookings during the development and modification of the production schedule.

Requirements:

  • Education: College diploma in radio and television arts or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three (3) or more years' relevant experience in television production, IT, and broadcasting technologies.
  • Language Skills: Superior French-language skills (spoken and written); working knowledge of spoken and written English is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of newsroom operations, iNEWS, the Google suite, and MediaCentral editing software.
  • Soft Skills: Solid communication and interpersonal skills, ability to research and gather information from a variety of sources, good technical and production skills, excellent prioritizing and problem-solving skills, and solid organizational skills.
