Job Summary

: We are seeking an experienced and caring individual to fill the role of Supportive Education Associate in our school setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members, and demonstrate a strong commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise students in indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
2. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, using active listening and conflict resolution skills.
3. Work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
4. Provide care and support to students with medical needs, following Board policies and procedures.
5. Participate in training programs to develop skills in areas such as non-violent crisis intervention and emergency response.
6. Maintain accurate records and reports, as required by the school and the Board.
7. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisors or directors.

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., education, human services).
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
4. Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
5. Knowledge of safe work practices and adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
