Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at T&T Restaurant Crunchy Snacks & Nigerian Dishes. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and records.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training and mentoring new employees.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and staff supervision.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to train and supervise staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Work Setting

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
