KYYBA Inc is seeking a skilled Proactive Application Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to provide proactive support for our applications in production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, Unix/Linux systems, and scripting languages.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Active monitoring of production activities to identify potential issues before they impact users.
  • Performing remediation steps to resolve incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with external IT communities to resolve complex issues.
  • Working with the development community to escalate Level 3 incidents.
  • Logging work and effort in support tracking applications and working with the team and management to reduce recurring issues.
  • Providing after-hours support as needed.

Change and Request Management:

The Proactive Application Operations Specialist will also be responsible for:

  • Managing changes to the production environment for NAR applications.
  • Working with the development community to prioritize releases.
  • Ensuring that requests for change adhere to Group and Department Policies.
  • Participating in after-hours and/or weekend change activities as needed.

Reporting & Special Projects:

The successful candidate will also participate in project elaboration phases to ensure the application production team is aware of upcoming changes and has the required skills for supporting changes post-release.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a support role.
  • Experience in the Banking/Financial sector is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Core Banking applications and/or data warehousing is preferred.
  • DevOps knowledge is an advantage.

Essential Specific Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong database skills (Oracle, MS SQL).
  • Unix/Linux hands-on experience with knowledge of day-to-day commands.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell).
  • Scheduling tools (Autosys) expertise.
  • Monitoring tools (Sysload, Geneos) knowledge.
  • Collaboration Frameworks (SharePoint) proficiency.
  • File transfer protocols understanding.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
