About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Architect to join our Buildings + Places Architectural team at AECOM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects and project pursuits in the Commercial/Industrial Market Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from concept to close-out, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement creative, functional, and innovative designs for Commercial/Industrial clients.
  • Manage project documentation, including design and contract documents, and ensure quality review and construction review.
  • Develop and promote design excellence standards and maintain technical quality standards.
  • Advocate for collaboration and integrated design, and work on multiple projects in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Architecture and four (4) years of architectural experience working with Commercial/Industrial clients.
  • Prefer ten (10)+ years of Architectural experience working with Commercial/Industrial clients.
  • Registration with AAA/AIBC/OAQ/AIA is an asset.
  • LEED certification and project experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience with project leadership and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of building systems and construction detailing.
  • Technical knowledge of building systems and specifications.
  • Understanding of sustainable design best practices.
  • Strong drawing and visual/graphic communication skills.
  • Knowledge of REVIT and BIM project integration skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Suite, and visualization software.
  • Understanding local building codes and regulations.
