Job Title: Psychologist, CMH-Eating Disorder, FTT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to join our Child Mental Health department at North York General Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and providing individual, family, and group therapy to children and youth with Eating Disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct multi-modal assessments and provide outpatient therapy in individual and group settings using evidence-based treatments such as Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), and CBT for ARFID.
  • Provide consultation to medical and mental health staff on Eating Disorder treatment and management.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures relevant to the Eating Disorders Program.
  • Develop and implement new therapeutic programs based on clinical needs.
  • Participate in research, program evaluation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field and arrange appropriate rounds, education sessions with team members.
  • Provide education to hospital staff on Eating Disorder treatment and management.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology.
  • Registered member in good standing or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Experience in various modes of individual and family therapy for children, youth, and families experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural problems.
  • Experience with Eating Disorder treatment modalities.
  • Related clinical experience in children's mental health agency or hospital setting.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.

This is a Full-Time Temporary position of 12 months with 8 hour shifts, Days shifts in Child Mental Health department, Eating Disorders at Phillips House (10 Buchan Court).
