Aecon is a leading Canadian infrastructure development company, and we are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Estimating Lead to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our estimating efforts on large-scale rail projects, working closely with our project teams to deliver accurate and timely estimates. As an Infrastructure Estimating Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading teams of estimators to develop detailed cost estimates for rail projects.
  • Providing oversight and guidance on cost make-up and risk assessment.
  • Assisting the Chief Estimator in managing the estimating group and developing estimating processes.

If you have 10-15 years of experience in major project estimating, including design-build, and a proven track record of leading large bids, we encourage you to apply.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Construction or equivalent combination of training.
  • Professional Engineer designation or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, documents, and commercial contract language.
  • Experience with MS Excel, Word, Project, P6, Hard Dollar, and BIM/IDD processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
About the Role

This is a full-time position based in the Greater Toronto Area. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience.
