The Associate Vice-President Students (AVPS) is a senior administrator responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to student support services across CNC's six campuses.

The AVPS will play a critical role in the cohesive management and integration of diverse student experiences, advocating for students and fostering relationships to support student success.

The incumbent will oversee services in International, the Learning Commons & Academic Success Center, and Student Services, ensuring effective systems and services are in place to support students.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President Student Affairs, the AVPS will cultivate and coordinate institutional structures and programs designed to help all students become intentional in their learning, engaged in their college experience, and successful in their chosen fields.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a holistic student support model
  • Leading and integrating robust student services and programming
  • Representing CNC on international, national, and provincial levels
  • Collaborating with department leaders to develop and implement student services

The ideal candidate should be a values-driven leader, skilled in developing and executing a comprehensive set of programming to enhance student life and CNC's goals.

A strong communicator, they will harness the passion that exists across CNC to create a cohesive culture focused on student success.

Requirements include:

  • Eight years of experience in senior leadership, preferably in a post-secondary setting
  • Demonstrated skill in managing student conduct cases
  • Proven expertise in data-informed, learning and teaching focused post-secondary environments
