About the Role
We're seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Western Canada. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving a quality culture at all levels in Western Canada, based on doing it right the first time and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive a quality culture at all levels in Western Canada.
- Work with the Quality Manager – Western Canada to maintain and improve our quality systems and adhere to operational best practices.
- Develop and implement the necessary updates to the quality system, standard operating procedures, and policies to meet the Professional Regulations, EXP's quality systems, and customer requirements.
- Maintain documents to support Western Canada's quarterly management review meetings.
- Participate in internal full system audits based on compliance with Western Canada policies, practices, and procedures.
- Maintain our Western Canada Professional Practice Management Plan with the review committee.
- Ensure compliance with non-conformance reporting (NCR) process by managing and monitoring the NCR database and ensuring that proper records and resolutions have been submitted.
- Continually develop and review procedures by managing and monitoring the OFI database to ensure that proper records and solutions are developed.
- Support our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Certification.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of Quality assurance and Quality control experience, preferably in an engineering consultant industry.
- Background in Consulting Engineering Business.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality management standards, processes, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-work practice teams.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple scope simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Knowledge on ISO and CSA.
- Experience in risk identification and management, change management, and continuous improvement strongly preferred.
- Must have prior experience in developing and maintaining QMS, product conformity, materials management systems, and general knowledge of Project and Construction Management.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, coupled with an ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.
- Proven skill set in the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues and challenges with a commitment to taking decisive action.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs and other manufacturing software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Asset ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training.
