Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join our team at Microhard Systems Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be responsible for leading and coordinating teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify solutions and develop process and network models to optimize architecture.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain computer-based systems, including software solutions by studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Evaluate system performance and reliability, execute full lifecycle software development, and plan every step of the integration of a computer-based system.
  • Maintain software, research technical information, synthesize technical information for every phase of the cycle of a computer-based system, and upgrade software.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of information systems professionals, conduct usability testing, operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality, conduct tests, and perform security and quality controls.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years or more of experience in the field of employment or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft certified professional (MCP), Microsoft certified technology specialist (MCTS), Red Hat certified engineer (RHCE), Certified Computing Professional (CCP), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript, as well as experience with databases, operating systems, and networking software.
