Job Description

As a Technical Artist at Ubisoft, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between art and technology. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the visual aspects of our games meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish efficient pipelines for asset creation and rendering.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tools and procedures.
  • Conduct benchmarking and testing to optimize feature performance.
  • Prototype features and provide transparent performance reports.
  • Collaborate with artists and programmers to create high-quality assets.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
  • Update documentation and fix performance bugs.
  • Train and support colleagues in technical aspects of game development.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in videogame modeling or equivalent.
  • Experience in digital art content creation, including high and low-poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, and level art.
  • Experience developing for consoles, with at least two full production cycles.
  • Proficiency in software such as 3ds Max, Houdini, Photoshop, or Substance Designer.
  • Scripting knowledge in C#, JavaScript, or maxscript.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with creative and technical teams.
