Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations at New Punjab Sweets and Restaurant Ltd. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 40 hours of work per week with a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $70,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Cooking and Menu Development: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to high culinary standards, develop new recipes and menus that showcase our restaurant's unique flavors.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe kitchen operations.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the kitchen.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; post-secondary education in a related field such as culinary arts would be an asset.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as an executive chef or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding role requiring prolonged standing.
