Medical Pathology Position

We are seeking a highly skilled anatomic or general pathologist to join our dynamic team at Grand River Hospital and St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo.

The successful candidate will be part of a well-established Integrated Departments of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, serving both hospitals in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standard of patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our laboratory services.

About Our Laboratory

Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a large menu of immunohistochemical stains and integrated anatomic pathology systems. Our pathology practice encompasses a diverse case mix, including surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, and we are currently validating and implementing digital pathology.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in General or Anatomical pathology
  • Fellowship training in Hematopathology or other subspecialty training/experience (an asset)

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $350,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you can expect benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
