At SPI Health and Safety, we are seeking an experienced Safety Consultant to join our team. This is a highly rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of health and safety systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in OHS regulations, industry best practices, and training delivery. As a Safety Consultant, you will provide customers with expert advice and support to ensure their workplaces meet the highest standards of safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting safety audits and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks
  • Developing and implementing OHS documentation, including audit reports, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and OHS programs
  • Providing training and consulting services to customers to enhance their health and safety knowledge and skills
  • Collaborating with our team to develop and improve health and safety practices, assessments, and documents
  • Maintaining a high standard of quality and expertise in all aspects of the role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across different industries and locations. You will be required to travel regularly, both within and outside of your region.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety
  • One of the following certifications: ROH, CIH, CSP, or CRSP (an asset)
  • Experience as a health and safety advisor
  • Experience working at heights, in confined spaces, in lockout/tagout, and developing health and safety procedures
