**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to lead our team in Burnaby, BC.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing best-in-class safety systems that align with corporate objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and leading a team of 14 health and safety coordinators.
  2. Responsible for the development and implementation of the company's safety programs.
  3. Working closely with operational leaders and front-line teams to align health and safety objectives with broader business goals.
  4. Championing initiatives that meet and exceed regulatory standards.
  5. Focusing on advancing health and safety systems, conducting root cause analyses, and leading incident audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  6. Designing and delivering impactful training programs that emphasize proactive, commitment-driven safety practices.

About You:

You are an experienced health and safety professional with experience in heavy industry including construction, mining, forestry, or other heavy industries.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
