**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Director to join our operation team and contribute to the achievement of growth objectives in North America. As a key member of our senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO, you will establish an environment that promotes company culture and vision through operations under your responsibility.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Work with project teams to manage and oversee the full range of the project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, close).
  • Improve the delivery process, ensuring efficiency of business and coordination with the senior management team.
  • Define portfolio management milestone plans and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that the scope of work and deliverables are known by managers and teams when mobilized on a project.
  • Ensure that project managers and project teams are highly engaged to deliver exceptional work.
  • Perform regular project health checks.
  • Track project performance.
  • Identify staffing needs, ensuring and balancing the availability of required skills and competencies across project and program teams within the project portfolio.
  • Directly supervise project managers.
  • Perform or contribute to performance reviews for project managers.
  • Define, develop, and execute personnel training roadmaps.
  • Mentor junior-level staff.
  • Interact with all levels of personnel to determine infrastructure technology requirements.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of organizational project management processes.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project management and the industrial sector (mining and metals, aluminum, oil and gas, hydroelectricity, etc.).
  • Bilingual (French & English).
  • Leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Organized person with a well-developed sense of analysis.
  • Active listening and strategic thinking.
  • Autonomous person and oriented towards results.
  • Sense of responsibility and ethics.
