Data Insights Analyst, Primary Health Care Strategy and Data Advancement

About the Role
The Canadian Institute for Health Information is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Primary Health Care Strategy and Data Advancement branch. As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to the full range of activities involved in the data quality, analysis, and reporting of various primary health care information projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in project plan development and conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses in the context of data quality assessment.
- Make data meaningful and findings interesting through effective communication and presentation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and data providers on a variety of subjects.
- Perform data manipulation and statistical analyses using Python, SAS, or R.
- Produce and disseminate data quality and proof of concept analytical products, including reports and presentations.
- Apply rigorous data quality approaches to understand and assess the quality of PHC EMR data.
- Contribute to activities related to PHC indicators, including working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in idea generation, drafting project plans, and progress tracking.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of CIHI's data holdings, related data by other organizations, and tools used by CIHI to access these data holdings and related analyses.
- Represent the team, department, and the organization internally and externally.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in epidemiology, statistics, health information sciences, social sciences, or similar field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a healthcare research, policy, or service setting, including experience in quantitative analysis.
- Experience conducting analyses using statistical software in Python, SAS, or R.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to write for a variety of audiences.
- Good conceptual understanding of how standards support data quality and health system management.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within a multidisciplinary team with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including development and maintenance of project Gantts.
- Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
