Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Primary Health Care Strategy and Data Advancement team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct data manipulation and statistical analyses using Python, SAS, or R to produce high-quality outputs from EMR data and administrative databases.
- Produce and disseminate data quality and proof of concept analytical products, including reports and presentations, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply rigorous data quality approaches to assess the quality of PHC EMR data and collaborate with CIHI's Information Quality program as required.
- Contribute to activities related to PHC indicators, working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain knowledge of CIHI's data holdings and related data.
- Assist in idea generation, drafting project plans, and progress tracking, ensuring quality of products and activities align with CIHI standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of CIHI's data holdings, related data, and tools used to access these data holdings and related analyses.
- Participate on project teams, assisting in the development and maintenance of project plans, conducting ad hoc analyses as necessary, and providing content expertise.
- Represent the team, department, and organization internally and externally, participating in committees, presentations, and conferences as required.
- Undergraduate degree in epidemiology, statistics, health information sciences, social sciences, or a similar field, or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a healthcare research, policy, or service setting, including experience in quantitative analysis.
- Experience conducting analyses using Python, SAS, or R, with a strong understanding of data quality and health system management.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within a multidisciplinary team with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including development and maintenance of project Gantts.
- Fluency in English required, bilingualism in both official languages an asset.
