Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Advisor to join our team at MD Financial Management. As a Financial Advisor for Medical Students, you will be responsible for providing financial planning and investment advice to medical students, residents, and new physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with medical clients through active listening and tailored financial planning recommendations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans addressing goal setting, cash flow, debt management, investment management, and retirement planning.
  • Recommend investment strategies based on MD Management's developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and Scotiabank's risk appetite.
  • Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to meet individual, regional, and corporate targets.
  • Participate in financial planning seminars and events to educate clients on financial literacy and MD Management's offerings.
Requirements
  • University degree in business, commerce, or equivalent degree related to financial planning.
  • CIRO licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) with completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and 90-day training.
  • Life License (LLQP) and willingness to complete other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel.
