About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef Manager to join our team at WOW BAKERY & FOOD. This is a permanent position, offering 30 to 44 hours of work per week.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating new recipes, preparing and cooking complete meals and specialty foods for events, supervising cooks and other kitchen staff, and preparing and cooking food on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create new recipes that meet quality standards and cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, ensuring presentation and flavor excellence.
  • Supervise a team of cooks and other kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely manner to maintain inventory levels and avoid stockouts.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple restaurants, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Plan menus that meet customer preferences and culinary trends, while maintaining profitability.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to uphold high hygiene and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant culinary qualifications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior chef or kitchen management role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
