Reporting to the Electrical Department Manager, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Equinox Engineering Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare electrical documentation, including area classifications, fugitive emissions studies, single line diagrams, and load lists.
  • Provide electrical input into the detailed scope of work, design basis document, and project execution plan.
  • Develop electrical designs for projects or proposals.
  • Analyze vendor or subcontractor designs for specific equipment.
  • Review the work of others to ensure consistency and integrity of design throughout the project.

Requirements:

  • P. Eng - Electrical Engineering degree.
  • 5-9 years of electrical oil and gas experience with EPCM background.
  • Experience in oil and gas facility projects, including heavy oil facilities, well tie-ins, pipelines, compressor stations, and field gas processing facilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (CSA, IEEE, API).
