Job Title: General Duty Respiratory Therapist

At Seven Oaks General Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical respiratory therapy services to patients, while adhering to the hospital's mission, values, and management philosophy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures to assess respiratory function and identify potential problems.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Medical Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the physiological, social, cultural, and economic aspects of patient care.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgment and initiative.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to new concepts, techniques, and best practices in the field of respiratory therapy.

Good physical and mental health, manual dexterity, and visual acuity are required. The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, as well as lift heavy medical equipment, is also necessary.
