Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients, consistent with discipline and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement respiratory care plans, including medication therapy and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Experience in critical care and pediatric respiratory therapy is preferred.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
