Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Emergency nursing experience an asset.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification (within 6 months of employment).
  • Triage Certification (eCTAS) (completed after 24 months of Emergency experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC).
  • Triage certificate in adult and paediatric populations.
  • Member of RNAO.
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to work both independently and in partnership with members of the interprofessional team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and personal development in nursing.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to be a coach, teacher, and mentor to colleagues and students.
