Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre Brantford. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties in accordance with legislation, the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and the policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre Brantford.
  • Demonstrate competency skills in the eight domains of Gerontic Nursing, including the Helping Role, Teaching-Coaching-Counselling Function, and Effective Management of Rapidly Changing Situations.
  • Assist the Charge Nurse with delegated duties, such as staff replacement in the absence of the central scheduler.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner in accordance with their respective roles.
  • Contribute to a transparent culture of client and staff safety by adhering to and abiding by resident and staff safety policies and procedures set by SJLCB.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
  • Registered Practical Nurse with current CNO registration in good standing.
  • Medication and Added Skills Certificate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
