Your Opportunity

The Cross Cancer Institute is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Medical Physicist to join our team. As a world-class cancer treatment centre, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a large and broadly skilled clinical and academic team that supports activities in external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight and design of quality assurance programs
  • Implementation of new treatment or planning techniques
  • Quality checks on the radiation treatment planning process
  • Assisting in the drafting, implementation, and review of policy as needed
  • Assisting with the radiation safety program
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in clinical physics and the ability to take responsibility for critical clinical decisions. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MSc in Medical Physics, certification by the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine in Radiation Oncology Physics, and experience in directing teams and major clinical projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of clinical, academic, and teaching excellence. Image guided radiotherapy and/or computer simulation experience is desirable. Experience or interest in brachytherapy and/or SRS is an asset.
