European Federation Of Organizations For Medical Physics - EFOMP is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team in Nuclear Medicine. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical services, quality assurance, commissioning, and development of new techniques and protocols.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity to work with our strong and growing provincial Nuclear Medicine (NM) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) program. The successful candidate will ensure high standards for NM and PET imaging policies, processes, procedures, and systems for service delivery to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clinical services, quality assurance, commissioning, and development of new techniques and protocols.
  • Ensure high standards for NM and PET imaging policies, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Participate in academic endeavors, including teaching programs, research, and supervision of trainees.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the radiation protection program.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent in Medical Physics or Medical Health Physics.
  • Certified or eligible for certification by the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM), American Board of Radiology (ABR), American Board Medical Physicist (ABMP) or American Academy of Health Physics (AAHP) or other Canadian recognized equivalencies.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the imaging and physics aspects of x-ray.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high clinical standards, strong interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialization in Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography.
  • Experience in teaching adult learners.
  • A minimum of 3 years leadership/management role in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.
