Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre seeks a skilled Power Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power plant equipment.

Job Summary

As a Power Engineer at Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, you will play a vital part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our power plant systems. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving issues, as well as conducting regular maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and ensure optimal operation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience working with automated or computerized control systems. You will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting plant equipment and systems to detect any malfunctioning and take corrective action to prevent costly repairs. Additionally, you will work closely with our operations team to develop and implement operation, maintenance, and safety procedures to improve overall efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams
  • Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction
  • Assist during routine systems testing
  • Assist in locating and isolating system problems
  • Assist in the development of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair
  • Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
  • Operate automated or computerized control systems
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Regulate water levels
  • Start up and shut down power plant equipment
  • Write plant or building operation reports
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a 4th Class Stationary Engineer license and have a minimum of [insert number] years of experience working in a similar capacity.
