About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Management System Administrator to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall LMS structure and creating courses, programs, and curriculums based on specifications from instructional designers, managers, or business owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the LMS structure and create courses, programs, and curriculums based on specifications.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for end users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
  • Work with instructional designers/writers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.
  • Prepare reports to enable the identification of gaps in requirements and support the development and execution of personal development plans.
  • Act as primary contact and provide support for managers, supervisors, and employees with respect to competencies, training records, requirements, and eLearning inquiries and registrations.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Two (2) years directly related relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel (MS Office Suite and enterprise application systems, e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to exercise judgment, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to apply time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments within demanding work schedules.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems.
