Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Learning Management System Administrator to join our team at FortisBC. As the province's largest energy provider, we deliver renewable energy, natural gas, electricity, and propane to 1.2 million customers.


The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the overall LMS structure, creating courses and programs based on specifications, and identifying opportunities for process and quality improvements. They will also provide troubleshooting assistance for end users and work with instructional designers to resolve technical issues.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain the overall LMS structure and create courses and programs based on specifications
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and provide feedback
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for end users
  • Work with instructional designers to resolve technical issues
  • Prepare reports to enable the identification of gaps in requirements and support the development and execution of personal development plans
  • Act as primary contact and provide support for managers, supervisors, and employees with respect to competencies, training records, requirements, and eLearning inquiries and registrations

Requirements



  • Certificate in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Two (2) years directly related relevant experience
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel (MS Office Suite and enterprise application systems e.g. SAP)
  • Ability to exercise judgment, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to apply time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments within demanding work schedules
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems
