Job Description for Senior Tort Clerk

Fox Vanounou LLP is a reputable law firm with expertise in the personal injury field. We are seeking an experienced tort clerk to support our team in handling personal injury cases.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the personal injury law field and possess excellent written and verbal English skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for file management, preparing correspondence, and scheduling examinations for discovery, medical legal, mediations, hearings, and court appointments.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • File management from intake to trial
  • Preparing correspondence, requesting medical, employment, and other records
  • Preparing motion records, settlement, and medical briefs
  • Scheduling examinations for discovery, medical legal, mediations, hearings, and court appointments
  • Preparing Affidavit of Documents; document production and undertakings follow-up
  • Trial and hearing preparation
  • Maintaining and updating calendars
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Law Clerk diploma from a recognized college
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
