We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Liaison to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As an Employment Liaison, you will play a critical role in supporting newcomers to Canada in their pursuit of a career in the skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and select program participants for our employment services
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the skilled trades
  • Connect participants with local employers in the industry to secure work placements and job trials
  • Act as a liaison between participants and employers to ensure a seamless transition and learning experience
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our employment services to clients and employers
  • Provide employment consultation and career coaching to participants
  • Assist participants with job search and make direct contact with potential employers
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • Experience in job development, marketing, and employment counseling
  • Knowledge of the skilled trades in Ontario
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals, including immigrants, and employers in an employment setting
