We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Liaison to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As an Employment Liaison, you will play a critical role in supporting newcomers to Canada in their pursuit of a career in the skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit and select program participants for our employment services
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the skilled trades
- Connect participants with local employers in the industry to secure work placements and job trials
- Act as a liaison between participants and employers to ensure a seamless transition and learning experience
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our employment services to clients and employers
- Provide employment consultation and career coaching to participants
- Assist participants with job search and make direct contact with potential employers
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Experience in job development, marketing, and employment counseling
- Knowledge of the skilled trades in Ontario
- Ability to work with diverse individuals, including immigrants, and employers in an employment setting
- A dynamic and supportive work environment
