Job Title: Hog Farm Worker

At F. Ménard, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hog Farm Worker to join our team in Montérégie. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the hog farm, ensuring the health and well-being of the animals, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the farm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain the hog barns and production facilities to ensure optimal animal health and production results.
  • Feed and care for the hogs, including administering medications as needed.
  • Order and manage feed supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management.
  • Perform daily checks on the animals, equipment, and facilities to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of animals, as well as performing maintenance tasks on equipment and buildings.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on farm activities, including animal health, production, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the fattening supervisor to implement HACCP and OSH standards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Good physical condition, with ability to handle animals and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of agricultural maintenance and animal husbandry practices.
  • Independent and resourceful, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Animal lovers with a commitment to achieving high-quality results.
