About the Job:

F. Ménard is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Hog Farm Worker. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our pigs, while maintaining the highest standards of animal care and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the health and cleanliness of the hog barns and production areas
  • Feed and water the animals, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Perform daily checks on the animals, identifying any signs of illness or stress
  • Administer medication as needed, and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with the birthing process, and provide care to newborn piglets
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the farm, including the hog barns and production areas
  • Collaborate with the farm management team to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of animal care

Requirements:

  • Passion for animal care and welfare
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
