Job Title: Police Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention Instructor

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach Criminology Intervention courses to First, Second, and Third year students at John Abbott College.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Criminology Intervention courses to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum
  • Assess student progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Social Work or related field
  • Directly related work experience preferred
  • Teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred
  • Working knowledge of the structure and operation of the youth and adult correctional and social service system in Quebec
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Psychoeducation or related field
  • CPR First Responder certification
  • Current Instructor or Master Instructor for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada (Quebec) or Canadian Red Cross
