Police Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention Teacher

John Abbott College is seeking a qualified candidate to teach Criminology Intervention courses to First, Second, and Third year students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Criminology, Social Work, or a related field, and will be able to teach in French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Criminology Intervention courses to First, Second, and Third year students
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement program goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Social Work, or a related field
- Directly related work experience preferred
- Teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred
- Working knowledge of the structure and operation of the youth and adult correctional and social service system in Quebec
- Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Psychoeducation, or a related field for specific courses
- CPR First Responder certification or equivalent
- Directly related experience in emergency response
- Knowledge of the relevant correctional systems in Quebec
