Quality Inspector Job Description

At AppleOne, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in Hamilton, ON. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review all documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Operate and program Zeiss coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for accurate measurements
  • Perform inspections of incoming raw materials, first offs, in-process inspections, and final inspections
  • Inspect outside processing parts, including heat treating and LPI
  • Generate and disposition non-conformance reports
  • Communicate quality concerns to management and collaborate with Production and Engineering departments
  • Perform hardness testing and calibrate inspection tools
  • Attend continuous improvements meetings and complete projects as required
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical related field or equivalent experience
  • Above average competency in Math
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Inspecting in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Competent in the use of machine shop inspection tools
  • Familiar with ISO9000/9001 requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
