About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Cleaner to join our team at ROCKY CROSS CONSTRUCTION (VICTORIA) LTD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Dust furniture to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean environment.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Own transportation to travel to different locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
