Pharmacist - Long Term Care Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Edmonton, AB. As a Pharmacist in a Long Term Care setting, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients and ensuring the highest therapeutic standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing
  • Complete daily tasks following workplace policies and procedures
  • Consult with pharmacy management on unresolved issues
  • Provide exceptional customer care to patients and communicate with resident care teams
  • Maintain accurate and organized resident health records
  • Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews and document recommendations
  • Follow provincial and federal laws and corporate policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory
  • Participate in training and support for pharmacy team members and engage in continuing education
  • Prepare compounding medications as needed and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Licensed Pharmacist in AB and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
  • One year's experience in a high-volume non-retail pharmacy setting (LTC, central fill, online pharmacy, specialty pharmacy) is preferred but not required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
  • Excellent understanding of process and the ability to collaborate effectively
