Security Guard Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Security Guard to join our team at the Smiths Falls District Hospital. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols of the hospital site.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including medical, fire, and security incidents.
  • Conduct patient watch as needed.
  • Enforce site policies and maintain accurate records.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Valid Security License
  • First Aid & CPR Level C Certificate
  • Ability to complete Vulnerable Sector Check

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of a minimum of two COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Security Industry experience (6 months - 1 year)
  • Healthcare experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Customer Service experience (minimum six (6) months)
