About the RoleThe Technical Analyst II is a key member of the IT team at the BC Public Service, responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing solutions to support operational or customer-facing systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, implement, and manage solutions to support operational or customer-facing systems
- Provide technical support, guidance, and problem-solving for retail, corporate, and warehouse systems across the province
- Assist in supporting 200+ liquor stores with 1,000+ IT-related devices and growing cannabis retail store environments
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or related discipline with 2 years of recent, related experience
- OR a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered equivalent to the educational requirement
- Experience with help desk call tracking software
- Experience in resolving and troubleshooting complex technical problems for both hardware and software
- Experience in a customer service-related technical position
