Job Title: Food Microbiologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Food Microbiologist to join our team at Toronto Sweets and Snacks Factory. As a Food Microbiologist, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses to ensure the quality and safety of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses to detect and identify microorganisms in food products.
  • Set up and conduct biochemical tests and laboratory analyses to determine the presence of contaminants in food products.
  • Assist in the analysis of data and preparation of reports to communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent position.
  • 32 to 35 hours per week.
  • English language.
