**Job Summary**:
To conduct, with minimum supervision, microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products in accordance with current compendial and in-house procedures to meet domestic and foreign regulatory requirements, as well as Canadian Analytical Laboratories Inc standards

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Microbiological assay of vitamins, such as Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, and Biotin
- Enumeration, isolation, and identification of bacteria, yeast, and mold
- Conduct and evaluate microbial preservative effectiveness test
- Perform calibration of equipment used in the Microbiology Laboratory
- Validation of the microbiological test procedures
- Prepare, with proper documentation, all microbiological media, and reagents
- Conduct, with proper documentation, growth promotion tests of all microbiological media
- Conduct microbial environmental monitoring of a laboratory facility
- Ensure proper disposal of all microbiological wastes
- Conduct sampling, testing and evaluation of purified water for microbial quality
- Investigate Out-Of-Specification test results and able to find out the root cause
- Evaluate, order and maintain laboratory’s supplies, media, and reagents
- Assist in the maintenance of microbial cultures
- Perform all other duties as assigned

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree in the Microbiology or equivalent
- Minimum 3 yrs of practical working experience of working as a Microbiologist preferably in contract testing lab environment.
- Considerable working knowledge of the methods, materials, and aseptic techniques used in laboratory work
- Considerable working knowledge of the use of laboratory apparatus and equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Competency in clearly and fluently expressing concepts and ideas in English, orally and in writing
- Ability to work as a member of a team and under minimum supervision.
- Ability to prepare, interpret and generate routine test reports in a timely manner and in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines to meet datelines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
