We are seeking a skilled Food Microbiologist to join our team at the Toronto Sweets and Snacks Factory. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for conducting microbiological and biochemical tests and laboratory analyses to ensure the highest standards of food safety.

The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or equivalent in a related field and 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting. You will be responsible for setting up and conducting biochemical tests and laboratory analyses, as well as assisting in the analysis of data and preparation of reports.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for providing awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees, as well as providing cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers and members of visible minorities.

This is a permanent position with a work term of 32-35 hours per week. The work language is English.
