Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with school administrators to promote mission, vision, and values, and contribute to the success of the division.
- Provide professional development for teachers and school administrators on topics related to supporting students through Inclusive Education.
- Hire and support Inclusive Education Case Managers and Learning Support Coaches.
- Assign students to Inclusive Education Case Managers and Learning Support Coaches.
- Offer support, training, and leadership to Inclusive Education Case Managers and Learning Support Coaches.
- Work with the Registrar to interview prospective families and admit Inclusive Education students.
- Collaborate with K-9 Regional Administrators on intake for students with learning needs.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships between parents, teachers, and education assistants.
- Support regional Learning Groups activities.
- Lead regional Student at Risk Teams.
- Assist in coordinating category designation applications and reviews.
- Manage financial approvals related to Inclusive Education student support plans.
- Demonstrated commitment to the KCCS Foundational Beliefs.
- Current BC Certified teacher with Inclusive Education specialty and experience.
- Minimum of 1-year HCOS Inclusive Education experience.
- Familiarity with HCOS Inclusive Education systems.
- Knowledge of the BC Ministry's Special Education Categories.
- Ability to manage change and adapt to varied workloads.
- Excellent conflict management, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proactive, systems thinking, relationship, and solution-oriented.
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Competitive wage $45.05 – $50.31.
- 3 weeks annual vacation.
