Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at JC's Hot Bagels. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings; perform minor repairs on appliances.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition; provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers; provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required; will train.
- 30-35 hours per week.
- English language required.
