Janitorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at JC's Hot Bagels. As a Janitor, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris.
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment, and conduct safety and security checks to prevent accidents.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide support and training to newcomers and refugees, and promote diversity and cross-cultural awareness within the team.
- Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to Indigenous workers, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
- Language: English.
- Hours: 30-35 hours per week.
