About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at JC's Hot Bagels. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Support: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings. Perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Health and Safety: Perform safety and security checks. Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

We offer support for newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.

Support for Indigenous People

We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.

Working Conditions: Permanent position, 30 to 35 hours per week, English language, and a welcoming work environment.
