As a Software Development Engineer on the AWS Alameda team, you will have the opportunity to work on a mission-critical project that shapes the future of internal Control Plane engineering across Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced software developer who is passionate about delivering scalable and secure technologies. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience and be proficient in programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, or others.

The AWS Alameda team is responsible for automating the creation and maintenance of infrastructure and software for both the Control Plane and Data Plane of newly managed services. We use a core services and extension approach to enable features and custom business logic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage modern technologies and AWS services to empower AWS service teams to be more productive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure software solutions.
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers to grow their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
