Job Title: Legal Counsel, Compliance and Commercial Law

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team at Woodfibre LNG. As a key member of our small, cross-functional team, you will report to the Vice President, Legal and be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the Woodfibre LNG project and Pacific Canbriam.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to the Woodfibre LNG project and Pacific Canbriam on commercial and natural resource related matters.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop practical and risk-balanced solutions to complex legal and commercial issues.
  • Prepare and review a variety of agreements, including contracts, procurement documents, and regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years' experience in commercial and natural resource related law in British Columbia or Alberta.
  • Canadian law degree and current membership (or willingness to obtain membership) in the Law Society of British Columbia or Alberta.
